The Caring4Girls programme is an initiative which provides sanitary care for underprivileged girls across South Africa.
There are more than two million girls in South Africa and 500 million Globally that do not have access to adequate feminine care and therefor miss up to fifty days of school every year.
Caring4Girls is a programme that distributes sanitary pads to make sure that young girls can go to school during their menstrual period. The programme focuses on creating awareness about puberty and adolescence, and, in the process, demystify all menstrual myths.
Research shows that girls from marginalised backgrounds could miss up to 50 days of school each year due to menstrual challenges. Our goal is to educate and assist the Girl Child with everyday life in order to become the best that she can possibly be! By providing this necessity to the Girl Child we help her feel more confident and understand herself better. Our goal is to reach 2 million girls by the year 2020. We can achieve this much faster and even increase our goal with your assistance!
Trek4Mandela is a yearly expedition to climb Mount Kilimanjaro and through this initiative we support Caring4Girls. We have people from all branches of life and even some from overseas that want to experience what our beautiful continent has to offer. By doing this climb they also assist the humanity while experiencing the wonders of nature!
